INDEMNITY & VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT

As a part of The Joy Movement (powered by The Upliftment Programme), I herewith agree to take care of my own health, wellness and commitment to be both human and kind. Assumption of Risk - I assume the risk of injury or death which may arise out of the ordinary activities which take place in, around, and traveling to and from The Joy Movement functions. I understand that I am volunteering at my own risk and I am aware of the risks involved. I understand that my willingness to assume the risks of injury or damage while volunteering is necessary to protect The Joy Movement not-for-profit organization and any of the institutions we service, from any losses due to such potential liability. INSURANCE- I further acknowledge that The Joy Movement ( The Upliftment Programme) does not provide any type of insurance including liability or medical coverage for volunteers. As a volunteer, I am expected to have my own medical insurance policy and/or the means to pay for any and all emergency and non-emergency medical treatment incurred. PUBLICITY RELEASE - As a charitable organization, The Joy Movement (The Upliftment Programme) will occasionally engage in the taking of photographs and other audio or video recordings for publicity purposes. It is assumed that I have no objection to the use of these images/media by The Joy Movement (The Upliftment Programme) for non-profit purposes, unless I tell The Joy Movement (The Upliftment Programme) volunteer supervisor otherwise.) I voluntarily agree to assume the aforementioned risks and responsibilities of volunteering for The Joy Movement and I voluntarily agree to indemnify, release, discharge, covenant not to sue, and hold harmless The Joy Movement, it's trustees, directors, officers and any other representatives, in as broad and inclusive manner as possible, forever, from any and all actions, claims, and demands for loss, liability, injury, damage, costs, or death which may occur to me or to property belonging to me, resulting from my participation in the The Joy Movement's activities, unless caused by The Joy Movement willful act. Any portion of this document deemed unlawful or unenforceable shall not affect the remaining provisions, and those remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. In signing this release, I acknowledge and represent that I have read the foregoing Volunteer Agreement and Release, understand it, and sign it voluntarily. No oral representations, statements, or inducements apart from the foregoing written agreement, have been been made. I execute this Volunteer Agreements and Release for full, adequate and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by the same. (If underage please have your legal guardian put their name and agree to this)
By placing my name here, it becomes legally binding and I herewith indemnify The Joy Movement and any institutions we visit, from any and all loss, damages, claims, liability, expenses, payments or outgoings incurred by or awarded against me, arising directly or indirectly from any service or training we participate in. I take full responsibility for my volunteer engagement, including transport to and from events. * If under aged please have your legal guardian agree to this....*
